TechnoTrance Soundset for Largo available

09/03/2010: The new technoTrance Soundset for Waldorf Largo from sounddesigner Rob Lee is now available in our Webshop.
The soundset contains128 brand new presets and consists of Arps, fat basses, House and Techno chords, searing leads, evolving pads and more, thus giving you all the tools you need to start producing quality Techno and Trance music.
The download package contains the soundset as FXB bank as well as all single sounds in FXP format.

Largo V1.5.0 Update

24/12/2009: We are proud to announce the release of Waldorf Largo V1.5.0. This free update for all Largo customers comes with a completely new Browse page for easy sound administration, a new 6-stage Chorus effect, new parameters in the Oscillator section and in the Arpeggiator. Furthermore it fixes several bugs reported by our beta testers and customers and Largo now runs in ProTools with the FXpansion VST2RTAS Wrapper. Included are more than 450 new sounds from highly acclaimed sound programmers. More information and download link.

Sounds Divine Spacetime Soundset for Largo

16/12/2009: This soundset from Sounds Divine contains 128 programs for Waldorf Largo, featuring long evolving pads, wavetable sweeps, snappy arpeggios and deep textures. The bank is split into the following categories: Pads, Synth, Arpeggios, Textures, Keys, Sequences, Bass and FX.

Public beta operating system for Waldorf Q+

13/11/2009:

The new firmware version 3a61 addresses two issues found on some Waldorf Q+ synthesizers:

Improvements:

• Filter select LED: The Phoenix Edition of Q+ has a bug right on the front panel.
  The printing of the Filter select LED for Filter 1 and 2 are accidentally swapped - to compensate this, enable the new global parameter "Filter LED swap" and the LEDs show the proper Filter - just as if we never had made this stupid mistake in the first place.
• Sporadic audio channel mismatch: This is one of the most evil bugs we ever faced, as it occurs only rarely, usually after some hours of operation. The audible symptoms are missing notes, like every 2nd or 4th keystroke, wrong effects or panorama setting for alternating notes etc. We have reasons to believe that this new firmware solves this, but as this malfunction is not reproducible and occurrence is unpredictable, we cannot be absolutely sure. This is why we release it as a public beta, as we do not want to promise a fix that we only assume could be fixed. We kindly ask you to test this new firmware on your Q+ and report both if it works as intended or not. Please send feedback to bugs@waldorfmusic.de

The package contains two files:

• qplus_3a61.mid - firmware as standard MIDI file
  
• qplus_3a61.txt - text file with all informations about the new firmware
  

Transmitting the firmware to your Q+

• Extract the archive.
• Open the respective Firmware file with any Sequencer, MIDI File Player or SysEx dump application, i.e. Cubase, MIDI Ox, Logic or SysEx Librarian.
• Make sure that the correct MIDI output routed to your Q+ is selected.
  
• Start playback. After around 2 seconds a message appears in the display of the Q+ that the firmware update is in progress.
• After transmission the Q+ firmware is installed.

Minimal Electro Soundset for Largo available

17/08/2009: The new Minimal Electro Soundset for Waldorf Largo from german sounddesigner Holger Steinbrink is now available in our Webshop.
The soundset contains 128 single programs, created especially for the needs of electronic music producers. It was designed to provide crying leads, pulsating arpeggios and fat bass sounds for todays music production.
The download package contains the soundset as FXB bank as well as all single sounds in FXB and AU preset format. VST3 presets for Steinberg Cubase 4 and 5 are also included plus a documentation sheet.

Largo Demo Version available

09/07/2009: Put the Largo synthesizer to the test! Use and abuse it 30 days without any limitation. Simply follow this weblink, complete the form and download the Largo demo version V1.1.0 for PC or Mac. You will receive the demo license code via email. Please note that you will need an internet connection to activate the demo version of Largo.

Largo update 1.1.0 available

08/07/2009: Now this is what we call decent product maintenance! The Waldorf Largo synthesizer has been upated to version 1.1.0. This update is not only a "bug fix", it also carries a bunch of new features e.g. the Mod Delay, a completely revised Reverb and an extended multi-part function plus several additional enhancements. Largo version 1.1.0 is a free update for all Largo user and available for PC and Mac. Also available is the updated PDF manual.
